This class II stretch begins near the town of Loma, Colorado, just outside of the Utah border. Ruby and Horsethief Canyon are home to numerous birds of prey including Golden and Bald Eagles, Red Tail Hawks and Peregrine Falcons. At the Black Rocks Campsite, you will see the geological phenomenon known as a schist, a highly polished and extremely uncommon black rock dating back 1.25 billion years. This leisurely stretch can be run either on a raft or canoe. 3-4 day trips start at the Ruby & Horsethief Canyon put-in and end at Westwater Canyon.

For a few precious weeks every year, rafting Cataract Canyon on the Colorado River offers some of the biggest whitewater in North America. Once full to its rocky rims with high country run off, the Colorado River rips through southeastern Utah as it heads toward Lake Powell. Rafting on the Colorado River is at its most exciting once you reach the start of Cataract Canyon's twenty-six rapids. The largest rapids in the canyon are found at the end. The Big Dropsa threesome of precipitous pitsstand up to three stories tall and will give you many stories to take home to your friends and families. Rafting Cataract Canyon at high water easily stacks up with Grand Canyon’s Lava Falls – it’s whitewater as big as it gets.

The elk hunting in 2004 had a 80% success rate our best year yet. We have great deer hunting I consider our elk hunting average. Because of this we charge a trophy fee for elk, during the regular elk rifle season. You must purchase and book your deer hunt during the elk rifle season in order to hunt elk. Tired of seeing more orange than horns? Then come join Park City Outfitters hunting on our private ranch. The state of Utah guarantees us deer hunting tags (no lottery). The state also gives us an extended season starting September 15 to October 31. You also get to choose your weapon.

Any unit you hunt, you are almost assured the opportunity of a shot at a 6x6 bull.  Some of the units in this state are producing some bulls scoring over 400 BC points.  On the average you should take home a bull that will score at least 315 or 320. These hunts are definitely worth the $5.00 to apply. Somebody's going to draw, why not you? Deadline for the draw is the end of January.  For the serious hunter, there are a few landowner and conservation tags for sale.

All of our hunts take place on private property in the North West corner of Utah in Box Elder County near Grouse Creek City. The property consists of over 23000+ acres of mule deer paradise. Rolling hills, Sage Brush flats, Alfalfa Fields, deep pine tree covered draws and peaks reaching above 8,500 feet describe the breath taking scenery of our property. The property will accommodate any type of hunter and hunting party. If you like to hike, we can hike. If you want to drive in trucks or an A.T.V. let's do it. If you want to sit in a blind, we can do that also. The property is set up perfectly for those of you who want to bring your son, daughter or significant other to enjoy your hunt with you.

We offer professionally guided Utah fly fishing trips 12 months a year, on rivers, streams, and ponds near Park City. Whether you’re here playing golf in the summer, playing on the ski slopes during the winter or attending the Sundance film festival we have a great alternative for you. Come spend a day you won’t forget fly fishing with us. This Blue Ribbon River provides excellent fishing year-round. It originates in the high Uinta Mountains, and is divided into three distinct sections; the upper, the middle, and the lower. The three sections are separated by two reservoirs, the Jordanelle and Deer Creek. Because of these reservoirs the middle and lower sections of the river are classic tail-water fisheries, where the upper is more of a free stone river. These tail-water sections are managed for trophy trout. The water is almost always clear and fishable, and the fish numbers are truly impressive. There are many access points along the 25 miles of river, so if you have any limitations this is a great choice. With its close proximity to Park City this river is ideal for half or full day trips. Here is a website tracking the daily water flows on Provo river which we find interesting.

A must in any mountain biker’s rites of passage is the White Rim Trail. Riding on a sandstone bench through a land called “Island in the Sky” you will pass Mussleman Arch, Monument Basin, Turks head, Candlestick Tower, and White Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, Arches, Natural Bridges, Dinosaur, Capital Reef, Grand Staircase… in a state brimming with national parks, it’s easy to overlook another national treasure. Utah locals call it ‘THE SWELL’ a three thousand-foot fold of sandstone.

Desolation Canyon has been home over the years to prehistoric Indians, frontiersmen, and even Butch Cassidy. Today, if you really want to get away for some family river rafting in an environment of green cottonwood groves, white sand beaches, and clear-water side streams, there’s no better place than the Desolation Canyon Green River Wilderness. The rapids are family sized and grow in size each day of the trip. Getting the family active in a paddle boat or inflatable kayak is easy to do in July and August.
